Hi everyone. As of the late, I have been trying to bring back my habit of posting. Trying and failing miserably. And I know I have a TON of backlogs. Now that the -ber months are rolling in, sales are just around the corner.
Speaking of sales, I purchased this little number from one of those exclusive sales. Meet my Lush Double Choc Lip Tint. I got this I think years back. This is part of my series of backlogs.
A chocolate lip tint?!?!?! Is this a dream come true for those wishing for chocolate in make-up?
I don’t know the exact description of Lush for this product so we’ll have to jump with my review.
I got this off a credit card member sale – oh such nifty things to find there! This originally costs P375 ($8.53) but I got this for P318.75 ($7.25). It’s not much of a discount, but I still bought it anyway. It’s my first Lush make-up product. This lip tint is packaged in a small tin can and is roughly 10g in weight. Packaging-wise, it’s easy to bring around, but those iffy in dipping their fingers in to the product will not like this.

Upon application, it’s rather waxy and I find this a tad drying. Not good for those with dry lips! it is very matte. However, it does have a nice bronze color with shimmer – flattering for tan skinned people. I honestly love the shade but what I hate the most is the scent. It has this sweet chocolate smell which I find overpowering. It hangs on a lot so if you’re sensitive to scents like me, you might need to think twice on purchasing this. It also has this chocolate taste, but rather artificial. Wear time is below average for a tint. I’ve tried a number of hardcore tints, but this one doesn’t live to that level of expectations – lasts 2 hours and disappears quickly if
Would I recommend this? For the color payoff (for tan people) and easy to bring with you, this is ok. Small and very light, you could easily squeeze this in your bag, pocket or purse. However, this makes my stomach churn due to its sweetness and not so much in the wear time category. Given the price, I’d say I could move to a better tint – hardcore minus the scent. But colors like this are rather rare on tints.
Also, I noticed that when you don’t use this for a long time, you may need to wipe off the top layer – it tends to be more waxy than the bottom layer.
On the bright side of things, I’ve read from somewhere that this is a vegan product. Also, what I appreciate is them printing the “Use before” at the back.
I haven’t given up on Lush yet! I still would like to try out some more of their products!
